Ravindra Jadeja retires from T20Is after T20 World Cup triumph

India's all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja announced his retirement from T20 internationals on Sunday, following in the footsteps of Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma. Jadeja's decision comes after India's victory in the T20 World Cup final against South Africa in Barbados, where he had a subdued performance. With only sporadic contributions throughout the tournament, Jadeja reflected on his T20I career on Instagram, stating, "With a heart full of gratitude, I bid farewell to T20 internationals."

Jadeja, known for his exceptional fielding, affirmed his commitment to continue playing ODIs and Tests. Having debuted in T20Is in 2009 against Sri Lanka, he amassed 515 runs and took 54 wickets in 74 matches. India's triumph in the T20 World Cup, where they defeated South Africa by seven runs, marked a high point in Jadeja's T20I journey, culminating in his retirement announcement alongside Kohli and Rohit.
